Kill the
Precedent.

The legal doctrines, institutional cultures, and policy structures that allow governments to harm the people they claim to protect — and face no consequence — must be dismantled.

We exist to name, document, and dismantle the systems that protect institutions over people. Accountability is not optional. Transparency is not radical. The right to parent, to live freely, and to exist without state-sanctioned harm is not a privilege — it is a right to be defended.

01

Qualified Immunity

Documenting and advocating against the doctrine that shields government actors from civil liability — even when they violate your constitutional rights.

02

Domestic Violence & Coercive Control

Exposing how family courts systematically revictimize survivors — building the language, data, and legal frameworks to stop it.

03

Child Welfare & Family Court

Tracing the foster care to trafficking pipeline, analyzing Title IV-E incentives, and fighting the "failure to protect" doctrine used to punish survivors.

04

Neurodivergence & Systemic Bias

Challenging the disproportionate targeting of neurodivergent parents by child welfare systems and building literacy for the professionals who hold power over their lives.

ToniBones.

My name is Toni Bones — also known as Miss Bones. I'm a civil liberties activist, citizen media producer, and community organizer based in Kansas City, Missouri. I was present during the Ferguson uprising. I've worked with CopBlock. I don't theorize about these systems from a distance — I've lived inside them.

I am building the thing that should already exist — while living inside the crisis it's meant to address.

I'm a neurodivergent parent currently navigating a dependency case in real time — asserting parental rights under IDEA, filing civil rights complaints, and documenting procedural violations while simultaneously building this organization. Lived experience is not anecdote. It is data. It is standing. It is credibility.

I also founded Phoenix Haven Cooperative Living, a trauma-informed housing cooperative built to keep mothers and children together rather than tearing families apart in the name of "safety."
