The Kill the Precedent Ebook Is Published. Here's What That Means.

The book is real, it is available, and every purchase helps get it into print and onto the shelves where it belongs — law schools, social work programs, courthouse waiting rooms, and the hands of every attorney, judge, and caseworker who makes decisions about families.

The Kill the Precedent ebook is published and available right now at boudicabone.gumroad.com/l/hvefh. I want to be direct about what it is, what it isn't yet, and why both of those things matter.

What it is: the full Kill the Precedent argument — the same research, analysis, and documented case for systemic reform that this website has been building for months — in book form. Sourced. Rigorous. Written to be cited in a court filing as easily as read on a phone. It covers qualified immunity, Title IV-E funding, the neuroscience of coercive control, how family courts systematically misread survivor behavior as evidence against them, the legislative landscape, and the reform framework. It is the book.

What it isn't yet: a print book with a spine on a shelf at a bookstore. Amazon distribution is coming. Print publication is in progress. Getting there requires money — professional finishing, print infrastructure, distribution setup — and that is where you come in.

This is not someone asking for money to write a book. The book is written. This is someone asking for help getting it to the people who need it most — in the form they will actually use it.

Why I'm Publishing Now Instead of Waiting for Perfect

I have more work to do on this. I know that. The professional edition — with full citations, case literature, and embedded curriculum modules for institutional adoption — is still in development. The memoir that tells the personal arc of this story is being held until the story has its ending, which it does not yet have.

But the core argument is ready. The research is sound. The people who need this information — the attorneys who are trying to make civil rights claims, the social workers who want to do their jobs accurately, the judges who have never been trained in coercive control dynamics, the survivors who need language for what was done to them — those people need it now. Not when it's polished enough to satisfy my own perfectionism. Now.

So it is published. As an ebook. Available today. And if you buy it, you are not just getting the book — you are funding the next version of it. Every purchase is a direct vote for getting this into print, onto Amazon, and into the professional and institutional contexts where it can actually change what happens to families.

What Buying It Does

Beyond the obvious — you get the book — every purchase does three things. It funds print publication directly. It demonstrates market demand, which is what moves a book from ebook to wide distribution. And it puts the argument in front of one more person who might share it, cite it, assign it, or hand it to someone who makes decisions about families.

If you work in law, social work, policy, or advocacy — or if you know someone who does — this is the book that should be on their desk. Share the link. Share this post. The reach of this work is built by the people who find it useful enough to pass on.
